What are your favourite green lifestyle brands and how do you personally apply sustainability into your day-to-day routine?
Easy ways to start are at home. I am obsessed with bamboo toothbrushes, I am currently using brushes by My Green Vibes, I love their soft bristles. I really like bambaw.com for things like plastic-free cotton buds, reusable paper towels, bamboo straws and so on.
For grocery shopping, I carry reusable fabric tote bags. In the office, I always have a large reusable water bottle at my desk which I keep refilling throughout the day and when on the go, I carry a smaller reusable version.
I recently visited Bulk Market in Hackney. This is a zero-waste market, you carry your own reusable jars and fill them up with necessities such as grains, flour, pasta, cereal and nuts - great initiative and we need more places like this not only in London, but around the world!
For fashion, I love Stella McCartney as she is showing the fashion world that fashion can be chic and at the same time sustainable and animal-friendly.
Tips for buying ethical fashion?
The easiest way to begin, is by buying items produced from organic cotton - you can actually get quite cute and stylish organic cotton items these days. A good fraction of my tees are made from organic cotton and I recently purchased a couple of really cute organic cotton skirts which look like denim. My biggest tip is to just buy less! Think over every purchase before you make it, think it over 3, 4, 5 even 10 times first. Ask yourself, do you need this, do you see yourself wearing this for years and years to come? Is the item good enough quality to stand the test of time? Invest in clothing and accessories - is this something you can pass on to your kids?
Influencers, books and films that you recommend for people who are just starting to live more consciously?
