5 steps to achieve your goals
Whatever it is YOUR heart desires, you can achieve it by working hard and changing your mindset and energy to match your dreams. Here are five steps to follow to achieve any goal:
Step 1:
What do you want to achieve? Think about what you’re putting off for the “right moment.” What holds you back? What are you afraid of? Write down the worst things that might happen if you fail.
Step 2:
Now that you have a clear vision it’s time to create SMART objectives:
Write down how long you think it will take, how many hours each day you will need to set aside to make it happen and what will the financial commitment be. What do you need to do every day to reach these objectives.
Step 3:
Get Organized and make an action plan - Write down the steps you will follow that will get you to your goal. This will help ensure you don’t miss any important steps. Think of this as creating mini-goals, breaking bigger objectives into smaller steps, until you have “bite-sized” chunks.
Step 4:
Be consistent. It’s important to focus on and take responsibility for the process, not the potential results. When you focus on the process , you will be a lot more relaxed and prone to continue than if you stare yourself blind on the potential results that never come as quickly as you want to and puts you on an emotional roller coaster from day to day.
Step 5:
Take accountability and accept feedback and use it to improve. Remember, it’s important to find and do what you love or like to do.
Real success doesn’t come from the outside but from within. There is no shortcuts. Taking greater personal accountability is the key to succeeding in everything you do.
